Club Info:

The Cajun Cyclists are a group of enthusiasts who's main goal is to promote the sport of bicycling in South Louisiana. The organization's backbone is comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who spend countless hours to make our goal a reality. Their efforts include leading rides, bicycle advocacy, event organization, website maintenance, club finances, and of course logging many miles throughout the year.

The club began in the early 1980's as a small group of bike riders who regularly left from Pack & Paddle on Pinhook road on Saturday mornings. The rides back then were known as Bakery or Pastry Rides, as they usually had a stop for sweets halfway through the ride. To this day, rides still leave from Pack & Paddle at 8:00am every Saturday morning throughout the year. Riders of all levels enjoy riding on a number of mapped and marked routes to various locations in neighboring towns. Most routes are about 35-40 miles, but a beginners' route is also available which is usually 10-12 miles long. Riders of all levels and ages are invited to participate in our rides; the only requirement is that you wear a helmet. We also have a set of organized rides on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Please refer to our ride schedule for more details.

The Cajun Cyclists Bicycle Club is a dues-free organization and its membership is open to anyone. Becoming a member of our club is as simple as attending one of our rides.

Please join us on our rides and see why the Cajun Cyclists Bicycle Club is one of the best cycling organizations around--"Lassiez les Bicyclettes Rouler!" (Let the Bicycles Roll!)
